It has been over 16 years since we went
online. The internet was the end of the tightly knit BBS communities.
The message bases like USEnet and FIDOnet still exist and are still
active. The MUD's are still alive as well as the IRC chat lounges, but
they are all considered to be the new underground; and perhaps that is
as it should be, in the underground.
I still am in touch with a great number of XSO users from our time
being associated with XTC. Those days are long gone, the Rave parties on
Commerce Street are but decades old memories, but we, the people are
still here...
